Dr. Who is back and the blue police box has hit the shores on this side of the pond but you already know that don’t you? So what other what other Time Lords might be out there hiding. I think I just might have found a couple.
Every few years he changes appearance and even personality. Nobody seems to really notice or care. Heck, if that a sign of a Time Lord regenerating I don’t know what is.
Really, this guy can make an atomic bomb out of bubble gum, paper clips and duct tape. Pretty sure his sonic screwdriver is disguised as a Swiss Army Knife.
Time traveling dog and his human boy companion, Sherman. They get messed up with all kinds historical dramas. I’m pretty sure that the their time machine really is a Tardis. There may not be canine Time Lords but then again stranger things have happened.
This guys is even a doctor! And he’s pretty danged “eccentric” But he also kit bashes a time machine out of a Delorean. Because we all know how easy it is to do.
And the number one character who just might be a Time Lord but maybe you didn’t think that they were is …
He travels back in time. Forward in time and all ways seems to end up in the wrong place. A common trait amongst Time Lords. He even builds his own robotic hand. The only way I can imagine that he survived all that crap is that he’s Time Lord.

Interesting that Doctor Who premiered just four years after Rocky and Bullwinkle (the show Peabody’s Improbable History appeared on). You may also notice that Rocky and Bullwinkle’s home has a spacious interior, yet has the exterior dimensions of an outhouse. Perhaps K-9 is a cheap knock-off robotic replica of Peabody. As for Sherman, he’s definitely the prototype of the dimwitted Companion. But he the excuse that he’s only six.
Another possible Time Lord is Red Green of The Red Green Show. On the Handyman Corner segment, he makes all sorts of bizarre contraptions out of junk lying around Possum Lodge, almost always held together with duct tape. Instead of the TARDIS, he has the Possum Van.
Here’s a list of historical persons both the Doctor and Mr. Peabody have met onscreen which I’m aware of:
Wyatt Earp
Marco Polo
Richard I
William Shakespeare
I suspect the lack of overlap is due to Doctor Who being Brit-centric while Peabody was more American-centric.
Good to see you’re still around. And, wow, thanks for that extra bit of research.
