There’s just so much good stuff on Kickstarter and funds are well less than plentiful. So I have to pick and choose which projects I can afford to back. Now, here’s a couple that will be soon getting some of my hard money.
The Swords & Wizardry project. Damn, this is one of my retroclones of choice. Heck, I rant about over on my OSR Blog. I have the Core Rules but not Complete. So there is much temptation. And another Monster Book. I’m all for that.
The other is Gamers: The Hand of Fate. If you don’t know about the Dead Gentlemen or Gamers or Gamers: Dorkness Rising then you lose a gamer point. Really, you do. You should go and watch those movies now and then back the third one.
And of course there’s Monte Cook’s new project. Sounds pretty sweet.
Now, I know that there have a been a few rumblings that Kickstarter may getting close to being over used and possibly abused by some folks. It’s simple. Caveat Emtpor. Not only understand what you are backing but find out about the folks who are doing the project.
